Awe

The AWE project is a striking fusion of timber and metal, designed to challenge conventional ideas of furniture and function. Developed for a graduation exhibition, this piece seamlessly blends practical seating with expressive art installation, drawing inspiration from organic forms like tree roots that blur the line between fluidity and rigidity.

Throughout the design journey, small-scale models tested structural strength while full-scale prototyping revealed new ergonomic possibilities. Final refinements in timber thickness and wire spacing prioritized both comfort and bold aesthetics, resulting in a piece that’s as inviting to use as it is captivating to view.
